Jill Paterson is a Senior Policy Analyst with Innovation Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED), and leads the department’s work in the area of data breach reporting. Jill has been working in the area of electronic commerce policy for 10 years and was a key member of the team which developed amendments to Canada’s commercial privacy law, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act. Jill started her professional life in the private sector working in high-technology, later joining the federal public service as part of the Canadian e-Business Initiative Secretariat.
